Arden Grange Light with fresh chicken & rice is lower in protein and oil than our standard adult range. With fewer calories, it can aid in weight reduction and the treatment of obesity. The addition of L-carnitine may help to increase the conversion of fat to energy and helps maintain lean body mass. Yucca extract is also included, since its antioxidant properties can help to combat the effects of free radicals from which obese animals are more at risk.

What’s the difference between the maintenance and reduction diets?

The reduction diets are lower in fat and calories, and contain L-carnitine to help convert fat to muscle.

When feeding Light, should I feed for the weight I’d like my dog to be, or the current weight?

It is initially recommended you start by feeding for your dog’s current weight (using the weight reduction guide on the packaging), but if weight loss is proving difficult, gradually reduce down to the volume suggested for your dog’s ideal weight.

Can I feed Light food to give my dog bigger portions?

Yes, this product is often a great choice for dogs with a large appetite who appreciate more volume in the bowl.

You might also like to consider feeding some Partners canned food if your dog has a big appetite. Wet food is a lot lower calorie than dry so portions are larger.
