a menu for every stage of your pet's lifeAt Arden Grange our diets offer tailored recipes to meet the developmental growth requirements of each life stage with differing nutrient values (particularly amino acids, vitamins and minerals that are so important for healthy development). Growth diets also make consumer choice easier – some adult foods may safely be fed to puppies, but not all of them, and choosing a growth-specific food can help avoid making potentially detrimental mistakes.

what goes into our tasty meals and treats?

gluosamine & chondroitinGluosamine is included in a large variety of our recipes to offer joint aid and support, as it provides the building blocks to synthesise new joint cartilage. Chondroitin can help block destructive enzymes that break down cartilage in joints and bones.
fresh meatFresh meat is included in every complete diet to provide the cats and dogs that we feed with delicious, nutritionally valuable and balanced meals. Fresh meats are tasty ingredients and a good natural source of important amino acids and vitamins. With a variety of different protein sources to choose from, there’s sure to be a product to suit which your pet will enjoy and digest well.
nucleotidesNucleotides play an important role in the metabolism of the body and may benefit both the digestive and immune system. Nucleotides are a natural ingredient derived from a special type of nutritional yeast, and they can help increase the surface area for absorption in the small intestine.
omega-3 & omega-6Derived from krill and linseed, the correct ratio of these essential fatty acids is associated with benefits to the heart, digestion, skin and immune system. All Arden Grange dry foods contain krill, a superior and outstandingly pure source of the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA.

yucca extractYucca extract is derived from sap which has been extracted from the yucca schidigera cactus. All our dry diets are supplemented with yucca extract since it may help reduce faecal odour and reduce lawn staining.
MSMMSM (methyl-sulphonyl-methane) is a form of organic sulphur derived from pine bark, and its beneficial properties may include the relief of pain and inflammation. It is also thought that MSM may improve mental alertness and relieve stress.
prebiotics FOS & MOSAll dry Arden Grange diets include prebiotics FOS and MOS to aid digestion. Prebiotic FOS helps promote a thriving colony of the good gut bacteria and this may limit the growth of pathogenic bacteria.
cranberriesCranberries aid in maintaining urinary track health. They also have antioxidant properties and may be effective against certain bacteria and fungi. The active substances in cranberries may also help to support oral health.

superfood blendsOur special superfood blends of fruit and plant extracts include nutrient-rich ingredients that have been selected for their excellent antioxidant properties, and will provide much needed support to dogs’ immune systems and overall health and wellbeing. Rich in certain compounds, these foods hold powerful potential to boost our health and that of our pets.FIND OUT MORE ABOUT OUR SUPERFOOD INGREDIENTS

what you won't find in our food

dairy productsSome sensitive animals are allergic to casein (milk protein), and many are lactose (milk sugar) intolerant because the ability to digest it is largely diminished when puppies and kittens grow up.
beefThere is nothing inherently wrong with feeding beef, but some cats and dogs do not find it as digestible as other meats - high digestibility is important because this avoids large antigenic (potentially reactive) protein molecules lingering in the body.
soyaSome sensitive animals are reactive to certain tree pollens which are similar in structure to a specific soya protein therefore the immune cells responding to the pollen can also take a dislike to soya.
wheat & glutenSome sensitive animals cannot tolerate gluten (which is found in wheat, barley, rye & unspecified cereal blends). Oats are also not included due to their potential for gluten contamination.

we don't test on animals

Our “Not Tested on Animals Guarantee” affirms we have not, and never will, fund any invasive research projects conducted in relation to the development or refinement of pet foods manufactured or sold by our company. We do not own any other businesses that test on animals directly or indirectly.
